Deadline: 7 December – 17:00 Brussels time
This call for proposals aims to facilitate economic and environmental changes within the social economy sector, especially in rural regions. The call also builds upon previous initiatives in 2020 and 2021, focusing on enhancing social economy business models within regional contexts. It aligns with the European Commission’s Social Economy Action Plan introduced in December 2021, aiming to exploit the potential of the social economy sector by implementing specific measures. The current call for proposals, in line with point 3.4 of the Action Plan, supports social economy actors in developing innovative and sustainable practices that will boost rural growth, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to the twin transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy. The proposal emphasizes scaling up social economy businesses in rural areas, focusing on areas such as ecological innovation, green and digital transitions, sustainable agriculture, education and training for the unemployed, and initiatives related to the New European Bauhaus and quality of life improvements.
