2.2. Zalecany proces
Here are some steps to help you in your search. You do not need to follow the steps in their order, however, we recommend that you check each of them out. You are certainly on a busy schedule. Doing everything proposed here would most likely be a full time job. Just pick and choose.
Get acquainted with the structure of this Helpdesk website: The idea is to help you streamline the process of finding the funding sources for your potential project. EU funding is a complex matter, so if you have little to no experience, it may take some time to understand the processes. Our MOOC – and our strona internetowa – tries to make the process a little easier. We are a part of the website. Feel free to move around as you see fit. Remember you can always contact our support team.
Identify relevant funding programs: Understand the various funding programs offered by the EU, especially ESF+, ERDF, and Interreg. Each programme has specific focus areas and eligibility criteria, so get ready to align your project accordingly. You can jump right in and explore general information or get to know more about your country specific programmes.
Check out open calls on our website: Our Helpdesk support team makes sure we keep the Open calls section up to date.
Utilise official EU websites: Visit the European Commission’s Funding and Tenders Portal if you want to go deeper. Get ready that this is a bit of a rabbit hole. You might spend a lot of time going through many hyperlinks.
Consult national and regional authorities: Kontakt Managing Authorities responsible for EU funding in your country. They can provide guidance on available programs, local priorities, and specific requirements. They may also offer support services for project development. Remember – it is always a good idea to set up good communication with the Managing Authorities early on. You may read more about this in Chapter 5.
Engage with networks and organisations: Join relevant networks, associations, and organisations in your field of interest. These groups often have access to information about EU funding opportunities and can provide valuable insights and networking opportunities. We talk about this in Chapter 1.
Attend information sessions and workshops: Look out for information sessions, workshops, and webinars organised by the EU or other relevant organisations. These events can provide detailed information about funding programs, application procedures, and tips for successful proposals.
Subscribe to newsletters and mailing lists: Subscribe to newsletters and mailing lists of EU institutions, funding agencies, and relevant organisations. They often send updates on funding opportunities, upcoming deadlines, and changes in policies.
Collaborate with experienced partners: Consider partnering with organisations or institutions that have experience in EU-funded projects. Collaborating with experienced partners can enhance your chances of success and provide valuable insights into the application process.
Seek professional advice: If you have the resources, consider consulting with professional grant writers or project management experts who specialise in EU funding. They can assist you in navigating the complex application process and increasing the quality of your proposal.
Remember, it’s important to check for updates regularly as funding calls may have specific deadlines and limited application periods. Be thorough in reviewing the guidelines and eligibility criteria for each call and seek clarification from the respective Managing Authorities if needed.
By combining these search strategies and staying proactive, you can enhance your chances of finding suitable EU funding calls for proposals.
