5.3. What is their role?
The Managing Authority of the Operational Programmes performs a large number of functions related to the implementation, coordination, management and control of the Programme.
Some of the functions (with relation to you as a project implementer) usually are:
- to carry out the management tasks of the programme(s)
- to select the projects to be financed
- to monitor the projects to reimburse beneficiaries
- to record and store electronically data on each project, which will then be needed to complete monitoring, evaluation, financial management, verification and audit activities.
